Lee Hayes made a great return from injury to pick up a hat trick here with further goals from Ger Hennessey and Damien Kelly . Great to start getting in a few games again as this squad eagerly await their next batch of fixtures.

Good win for the lads here. In truth we made very hard work of this game as a bit of rustiness set in after the long break. The lads missed a couple of good chances but overall it was great to keep a clean sheet and dig deep when they had to .Man of the match award was between 3 player, Ben who did a great job organising the lads in defence, Wojtek with a great goal but Sebastian was truly fantastic for us with he’s work rate and overall play helping the lads in defence and starting our attacks .Also a big thanks to Eva for refereeing the game and all the parents for travelling up to cheer on the team.

Defences were on top here in a tight game between two evenly matched sides .The crossbar played a role in this game with both sides hitting it on a number on a number of occasions and when shots did hit the target , both goalkeepers were more than up to the occasion . A strong performance from Sean Keane mins the Man of the Match accolade with Adam Quelly, Josh Jacob and Azeez Alabi, not far behind.

Shane o Brien

Here is wishing a speedy recovery to Shane o Brien our star midfield performer for the u 15’s – who picked up an injury last week
