Youth B Southend 6 Kilmacow 2

Good win for our youths against a gallant away side.We started very brightly and after creating numerous chances, eventually went ahead with a good team goal. After going ahead we took our foot of the gas and just seemed to be going through the motions.Midway through the second half we regained our composure and got a couple of goals to seal victory. Overall a mediocre performance knowing what these lads are capable of.Goals from Evan, Rhys,Jack,Tosin, & Bami

12 B Park Rangers 5 Southend B 2

Heroic efforts from this gang of kids who despite being on the wrong end of the scoreline sent all whom witnessed this game home smiling. From the start these lads gave their all and showed vast signs of improvement. Everyone got game time and were all keen to show a hunger for the game,Goals today from Waluh & Jake , Man of the match goes to Jake Grant who was a constant thorn to the opposition. Well done to Tommy & his squad on a great performance.

SFAI U 16 Southend v Dungarvan

Lads go through to the next round with a comfortable win here on a glorious sunny morning. At times our football was a joy to watch with everyone playing their part, Goals today Sam 4, Bami 3,Jack 2 &Rhys 1.Well done Dev,best of luck in the next round.

SFAI U 12 Southend v Cashel

Our lads progressed to the next round after a very dominant display against a very good Cashel town side. They played some lovely football at times and they did their coaches and club proud with their work rate and effort by never giving in.We took the lead after 1 minute through Karl Homa and with all the chances we created we failed to add to it in the 1st half but the lads stepped it up a gear in the second half and some brilliant counter attacking moves were rounded off by Muhammad Oliditi x2 Shane Moran x2 and Paul Kiely getting his 1st goal for the club. The quality of some of our play today was a joy to watch and it’s great to see this team improving by the game after adding all the new faces at the start of the season many fine performances from Sebastian and Darragh Smith at the back and our captain Adam Dobbyn and Mohammad but man of the match today for he’s work rate and he’s two brilliant goals was Shane Moran..A massive thanks to all the parents for supporting the lads today and thanks to Cashel town for a great game and we also have to give special mention to Eamonn Dalton for the condition of the pitch today fantastic for the lads to play on .

SFAI U 14 Southend v Courtown

Our u14s progressed to the 2nd round today with a solid display against Courtown Hibs of Wexford. Good all round display with everybody knowing their role and what’s expected of them. Fantastic attitude shown by every single one of these boys which is what it’s all about. Standout displays today by young Tommy Mullally and Azeez Alabi, unbelievable workrate and attitude. Scorers on the day were Ben Boland, Azeez Alabi (3), Shane O’Sullivan (2) and Jay Bagge.

Thanks to Courtown Hibs for a game played fairly, and in great spirit. We wish them all the best next season.

Big thanks to everyone who helped out with the post match refreshments, and to all the support on the line which means the world to these young players. On to the next one.

15 A League Dungarvan 4 Southend 3
A below par performance saw us deservedly beaten by a more determined Dungarvan side. Hopefully some lessons were learned here. We move on , goals from Callum Flynn (2) and Jimmy

13 A League Tramore 1 Southend 2

Fantastic result for the lads against a very good Tramore side who played some lovely football throughout .Our lads were brilliant from start to finish and with a bit more composure in front of goal we should have scored one or two more with Adam Hearne not having to make a save in the game until we conceded with three minutes to go because of the quality and work rate of our back four and midfielders. We took the lead after we pressed their back four Charlie Barden winning the ball and playing a lovely pass to Adam Dobbyn who finished brilliantly into the top corner of the net. We had a couple of half chances from corners and we made it two nil in the second half when a brilliant pass again from Charlie Barden found Aaron Cass and he finished it brilliantly into the corner of the net Every player worked their socks off all over the pitch with some brilliant performances from Tommy Mullally and Aaron Cass with Matt and Alan very dominant at centre half but man of the match goes to Charlie Barden for his work rate off the ball and he’s composure to give the two assists while under pressure Also it was great to see so many parents turning out to support the lads tonight .
