12 SFAI CUP Clonmel Town B 0 Southend 2

A very much improved display from the lads here after their no show against Bohs last weekend. The work rate was excellent from the start and after going in at half time level, the lads upped the pace in the 2nd half and two great finishes from Adam Dobbyn sealed the win. In the end, it could have been a lot more with some better finishing. There were many fine performances today all over the pitch but Tommy and Mohammad really were outstanding with Mohammed just shading the Man of the Match award with two assists and the way he controlled the game from midfield , great to see Daniel Byrne back in action again.

12 B De La Salle 0 Southend United 1
This young squad picked up their first points of the season with a very impressive display here. From start to finish we contested every ball with great enthusiasm and justly got their reward here Our goal scorer was Mikey Reilly who also had a cracking game, however MOTM was Eddie Yartley who had a great game between the posts. Well done to all our squad and not forgetting Andrew Norris and Jamie Hutchinson who made their managerial debuts in this fixture ⚽️

16B Bohs 0 Southend United 4
Three points again for this squad who continue to punch above their weight. Patience was the key here as we took control early on but missed several good chances to take the lead, however once Rhys slotted home we never looked in danger, After the break, Jacko made it two with a cool finish followed by Sam o Hara and Toisin who completed the goal scoring, A great display of teamwork from the lads ensures they remain unbeaten
