13 A Villa Southend 3
Valuable three points for us here in an evenly contested game in which
there was very little between the sides .A Callum Flynn penalty gave us the lead after fifteen minutes
before the home side got back level shortly afterwards .A fantastic run and finish from Jimmy Byrnes
gave us the lead shortly before the break .After this it was back to the wall for a while , but a fantastic display from everyone involved ensured that we would hold our lead and a strong finish from us saw an effort from Peter Ellickson with the help of a deflection ensure that we came away with all the points and cement our position in joint top spot in the league table.

 12 D Southend 2 Railway 5
First defeat of the season for Micks side but no shame here as the lads were beaten by a much bigger and physical side and who also possessed in midfield , the outstanding player on the pitch .
From our point of view ,it was great to see our lads keep playing football the whole way through
as this augures well for the future development of these players .Samuel and Eoin
were on the scoresheet, thanks to all the parents for their  support .

SFAI U 14 Cup Southend 4 Cahir Park 0
Safe passage into the next round for the lads in a game played in difficult conditions.
Goals came via Emanuelle Yartey, who although playing at centre half, has scored in every
game this season so far, Jack Cox , Sam Pender and Anthony Adenopo.

We were never in danger of losing this game as we were in control right throughout and well done
to Andrew Norris who picks up the Man of the Match award for a dynamic performance, leading
from the front . Thanks to Brian and Ruth for helping with the refreshments on the day

SFAI Cup u 12 Evergreen 1 Southend 0
No complaints here as the better team won on the day.Indeed, it
took a world class display from goalkeeper Jason Healy to keep the home side at bay on a number of occasions
Great praise is due to the whole squad for a brave battling display as we never gave up.
We will now have to concentrate on the local competitions for the remainder of the season
Big Thanks to all parents and supporters for their great help on the day
