12 A Southend 1 Carrick 1
Very tough game here in difficult heat. We took the lead through a Sean Keane free kick which gave the Carrick keeper no chance. It was a different story in second half as Carrick came storming into the game and really put the pressure on us. Our keeper Jason Healy saved us on a number of occasions including three one on one situations, producing an unbelievable performance, before Carrick deservedly scored from a great free kick. Bojan nearly won the game for us late on when his left footed strike came crashing off the crossbar. In the end a point is a decent result against a strong Carrick team. It was nice to see Adam Dobbyn Alan and Czerek get game time too and they will learn a lot from being involved in a tough game like this. But all credit to the lads for never giving up and battling away until the very end. Mention must also be made of the brilliant performance from the young referee on the day, producing a master class performance on the whistle.

14A Dungarvan United v Southend United
On a beautiful sunny morning we maintained our unbeaten run with this victory. Goal scorers today were Andrew (2) Anthony (2) Calum, Rhys, Bami and Sam one apiece. Great to see all of our lads get game time today. Well done to all involved.

12B Southend V Mooncoin .

Good result here for this team that keeps their winning run going. The lads played some very good football with everyone one of them worked tirelessly for each other which was great to see. Our goals today came from the on – fire Charlie Barden, netting five and Wojtek scoring two . Hard to pick a Man of the Match but even with Matt and Josh doing great at the back and Charlie getting a hat full ,the work rate and all round play on the day allows Ben Cahill to just gets the vote, and we would have to say well done to both teams playing in the hot weather today which wasn’t easy for them.

13 A Southend 4 Bohs 1
Good win on Thurs night against a very good Bohs team. Game was played at a frantic pace from start to finish. We scored after 25 seconds will Callum Flynn scoring a great header from a great cross from Peter Ellickson. Five minutes later Jack Twomey scored a peach of a lob from outside the box. Bohs hit back ten minutes later and the game was even enough for rest of first half. We came out second half and created chance after chance through Peter, Jimmy and Callum but couldn’t get our third until Jack stepped up and slid the ball under the keeper. Callum rounded off the scoring with a fine goal. Very good team performance after lots of frustrating weeks with the weather. Special mention to Peter Ellickson who made his confirmation on the day but still wanted to play the match. It just shows how dedicated he is and it’s great to have young lads like that around. He is a credit to his parents.

Division 4 Southend United 1 Tramore 0
Great result for the senior citizens here with Lee Hayes getting the winner. Backs to the wall effort here with some outstanding defending whilst in goal, Eamonn Dalton had the proverbial blinder . Well done to Bub and Barry’s team again on Sunday with a comprehensive win over Bohs. Goals here goals on the day from Lee Hayes(2) Damien Kelly , Adrian McEvoy 1 and Robbie Barrett (3) .Great also to see Paddy Dooley getting back to full fitness and playing the whole game.
Noel Condon

Great to see a familiar face from the past make a re appearance on the club scene in the past few weeks and we are delighted to welcome Noel onto our committee. Noel Condon was one of the most outstanding players to come through our system for a number of years with a cultured left foot and indeed only for a bad leg injury, he could have gone all the way in the game .Already, Noel has helped us with pitch maintenance and advise and is also going to help us on a number of bespoke projects which will be announced in due course. The club is now hoping that the lead shown by Noel will be taken on by other former members who we would be delighted see come back and give us a hand in whatever capacity they see fit.
