14a Carrick 1 Southend United 2
A good three points picked up on the road here for Dev’s side. We started the game brightly and took the lead through Anthony but on the stroke of half time, much to the dismay of the travelling contingent, the home side were awarded a penalty which they duly scored. Game on! We responded with a beautiful team goal in which Anthony finished for his second.Well done to all and thanks to all the parents for lifts and cheering on the lads.

12D Southend C v Abbeyside
Another win here for Micks squad after a fairly dominant display. Plenty of goalmouth action here with our prolific striker Daniel Byrne hitting four goals, others on the score sheet were Samuel (2), Eoin (2) and Harry (1), Well done to all involved particularily the whole Abbeyside squad who never gave up or stopped trying and are indeed a credit to their club.

Under 12A league Carrick 1 Southend 2
Lads showed great heart and character to come back from being one down at half time. First half was even enough but Carrick went one up half way through with a good goal from one of their midfielders. We made couple of changes at half time and the lads flew into the game in second half. Our first goal came with a 30 yard screamer from Charlie Power who was after moving effortlessly to full back. Our defenders and midfield started to put their stamp on the game then and we scored our winner two mins to go with a brilliant snap shot from the hard working Azeez. Every one of these young lads deserve credit as they never gave up and they battled to the very end and they all deserve a pat on the back especially Charlie Power and Adam Dobbyn when introduced at half time and Alan in first half before he went off sick. Nice to see Darragh Jacob back after being out of action for few weeks.
