12 A Dungarvan 0 Southend 2

Good win away for us here. Got off to a good start when Bojan scored a great header after good work from Adam Dobbyn on the right. We had lots of possession and we scored another goal through Azeez just before half time. Frustratingly we took the foot off the gas in the second half and just ran out the game to record another good win.

12 D St Saviours 1 Southend 6

On a beautiful autumn day we made the short visit across the road to our near neighbours St Saviours and came away with all three points with a comprehensive victory .This game was played in great spirit with a great deal of skill in abundance from both sides.

SFAI u 14 Cup

Southend United 1 Villa 4

We bow out of the National Cup after this defeat.Playing against a strong breeze we were two down at half time,we started the second half strongly only to concede a third goal .Try as we might our opponents defended resolutely and deservedly came out as winners.Overall a good cup tie played in a good spirit. Best of luck to Flough and Johnny and their squad in the next round and special mention to referee Derek o Brien who stepped in at the last minute to ensure that this game went ahead and capped it all with an excellent display.

12B Southend B 0   Villa B 2

We were unlucky here as just a lack of concentration near the end cost us dearly. Both teams played some excellent football here with both keepers making some fantastic saves with Josh, Ben and Sebastian having great games in defence for us and maybe with more luck in front of goal we might have got something out of the game but well done to all the lads in a game another learning curve for them.

16 A Dungarvan 2 Southend 1
We went one nil down early in the second half here but battled hard and everyone dug deep and we equalized through Alex Keane in the second half but unfortunately we were caught with a sucker punch of a goal with a minute to go. Good performance from all, special mention to Ross, Sheriff, Alex and Shane

Gerry Barry RIP

On the week of our big celebrations, we are sorry to hear of the death on one of our greatest players, Gerry Barry who served the club with distinction for many years both on and off the park.

An accomplished full back, Gerry was a true gentleman off the pitch and will be a sad loss to all

May he rest in peace
