14A Cup Bohs 3 Southend United 7(AET)

Ah the magic of the cup even though we were far from magic today! Two goals down at half time we looked to be in trouble, however we pulled one back only to concede again, so now it’s 3-1 down with about 16 minutes left .We started to take control of the game from here on in and eventually got two goals to bring it to extra time., We raised our game again and put distance between our opponents with four more goals in quick succession. Overall we are pleased to be in the semis of the cup but know we must do better, Goal scorers were Rhys (1) Anthony (2) Calum who got Man of the Match with 4 goals, the blonde bombshell turning in yet another match winning performance.

12B Southend 5 Ballyduff 0

Good win for the young lads again but what was so pleasing about the result wasn’t the score but the manner the lads controlled the game from the first tackle to the quality of the build-up and finishing of some of the goals that they scored. We were almost unplayable on the day ,our goal scorers were Wojtek ,Charlie Barden (2) and Mohamed (2) as the games go by its getting harder to pick a man of the match as every one of them are playing so well so for today they all share that honour.

U12ACup V Ferrybank 0 Southend 1(AET)
We got through to the final of this competition after a very tough game against a very good Ferrybank team. The first half we were very poor and were lucky that Jason kept us in it with two good saves. After a few stern words at half time we flew out of the traps in the second half and played some lovely football. Adam Dobbyn came on half way through second half and brought the game to life. We should have won the game in normal time but Ferrybank defended very well. It took a goal scramble for Azeez to poke home in extra time to set us up in a final with Tramore who are a very good football side and we will look forward to the forthcoming final next Saturday

15A Villa 0 Southend United 0.

Just have to mention Evan Ryan who had a very good day here. We had more of the chances on the night and indeed this is a game which we should have won, every one of the players fought until the end, Brooklyn, Devon and Alex were also outstanding.

Under 11Red v Carrick

The lads played out two really good games against Carrick in which we won one and lost one There was plenty of goal mouth action and it was great to see young lads pass the ball around so well our goals tonight came from Charlie Barden(2) Adam Dobbyn (2) Mohammad ,Sebastian and Mikey o Reilly.Adam pulled off some great saves tonight and Nicole was very unlucky not to get her 1st goal for this team as well. Player of the game goes to Alan Zoborski who was brilliant in defence for us, well done to everyone involved on both sides.
