12B Southend United 2 Della Salle 1
A brilliant win here for Damo and Gary’s team saw us take maximum points. Some great performances from Emily, Karl and Jamie, however M.O.T.M. goes to Rhys. Goal scorers were Karl and Rhys, well done to all involved.

12A Ferrybank 1 Southend 5

The lads were on top form in this game. We dominated the game from start to finish playing some excellent football throughout the game. We had a two goal lead at the break thanks to two good finishes from Charlie Barden. Ferrybank got back into the game in the secondnd half through a very good free kick but the lads stepped it up a gear from then on with Mohammad and Tommy Mullally dominating midfield and the back four defending brilliantly. Our lead was extended through two great strikes from Adam Dobbyn and a lovely finish from Daniel Byrne. In the end with better finishing we could of won by a few more but it was great to see the the lads fighting for every ball up to the final whistle while it was also great to see the lads that came into the team today playing fantastic on the wings. Very hard to pick a man of the match but Alan Zborowski and Adam Dobbyn just shaded it

16A Park Rangers 1 Southend 3
A fantastic win from Alan and Kieran’s lads who travelled to this game with a very much depleted squad. On target today were Devon, Sam and Tybo who all got one each, but Man of The Match goes to Kyle who put in a fine display between the sticks.Onwards and upwards for this squad, Well done to all involved

16B Southend United 5 Villa 3
Devs squad stay on top of the league and unbeaten with another great performance. On a bitterly cold day it was heart-warming to see these lads go about their business with enthusiasm and belief in their ability, Goals today from Bami (2) Aron (1) Sam (1) and an own goal. A well-deserved victory now sees us in pole position with just 3 games left. Brilliant. Wishing Jack a speedy recovery after a nasty injury.

Under 14 friendly Forth Celtic v Southend
Very good run out in Wexford against a very good side in Forth Celtic. You could see we were rusty at times after the Xmas holidays but it was nice to open the lungs again and try get back on track for a very important month ahead of us. What was most pleasing was the younger lads who played very well in the second half. Shane, Azeez, Bojan, Charlie, Ben Cahill and Kailum on goal all done brilliantly when they came on. Very special thanks to Forth Celtic for their hospitality after the game ,it was much appreciated and we hope to have them down to our pitch in another month or two for another friendly.

Div 4 Hibs 0 Southend 3

Great win for our 4th division team winning 3-0 away to Hibs. Damo and Sam (2) with the goals. This puts the lads at the top of the table. Well done men
